Consultant Paediatric Urologist and Paediatric Surgeon with a focus on starting services of unchartered area of Robotic surgeries for Children that covers Paediatric Urology and Paediatric General surgical ailments along with Laparoscopic surgeries and common surgical problems of children and neonates in and around Pune region.

His post MCh experience includes work in Paediatric Surgery department at KEM Hospital, Mumbai (2017-2018) followed by Kokilaben Ambani hospital in Mumbai (2018-2019). He briefly shifted to Pune (2018-2019) before heading off to United Kingdom in July 2019. He did a clinical fellowship in Paediatric General and Laparoscopic Surgery at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital, Cardiff (2019-2021). With increasing interest in Paediatric Urology, he later shifted to Exclusive Paediatric Urology department of Evelina Children’s Hospital, London (2021-2022). This was a perfect place to have hands on experience of minimal access complex reconstructive surgeries for children. He was a part of specialist Bladder urology team to treat complex bladder issues like incontinence, neurogenic bladder and posterior urethral valve.

Robotic Surgery can be considered as a Pinnacle in terms of standard of care that can be offered to children. It’s a rarity to find a Paediatric Surgeon with Robotic training. He has successfully completed Mini- Fellowship course in Paediatric Robotic Urology at University of Chicago Medicine, Chicago, United States July 2022. He was trained by Dr Mohan Gundeti, one of the pioneers in Robotic Paediatric Urology. He has a good experience of Robotic Surgeries being acted as a first assistant in his early years of practice(2017-2018). He aims to set up a comprehensive Robotic Paediatric Urology and General Surgery Program.

Apart from above, he can also offer Laparoscopic minimal access surgeries for thoracic, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and genitourinary system. He has thirteen publications that includes four on Paediatric Robotic Surgeries. He also has several papers presented in national and international conferences. He has a membership of IAPS, RCS Edinburgh, PESI, AMASI, IPEG and EUPSA.
